WOW!!
Here is a wrap-up of the events:
Raffle - 244 tickets sold...$2,040 donated. Prize drawing Friday evening.
3rd prize Flair cologne/That Funny Feeling record: ticket #60 -Chuck
Johnson.
Chuck
is Jo Lake's father so she delivered the prize to him.

Toni
was in the audience and happy to claim her prize.
1st prize Bobby's Blue Shirt: ticket #209 - Jamie Ney. Jamie flew in to Vegas on
Sunday
and
claimed her prize.
Second
Raffle - $900 donated.
Gary Walden brought a tie to Vegas that belonged to Bobby in 1960 so we quickly
organized another raffle.
In
24 hours we raised $900.
Anthony Scalia was the beaming winner of the tie on Sunday afternoon.
Silent Auction - $1,078 donated. Prizes were claimed Sunday morning.
We had approximately 50 items in the silent auction - with items going from
$1.00 for a Bobby pin to
$120
for a guitar lesson with TK Kellman.
Live Auction - $5,745 donated. Saturday evening.
With Gary Walden as auctioneer and Jane Schran and Ruth Harzer as our "Vanna
girls" the auction was lively, entertaining and simply amazing. What a
trio!!
Here
are just a few of the totals:
5 Leather Bound scripts-$2,870 (donated by Dodd); 5 original Darin sheet
music-$1,160 (donated by Dodd);
5
pieces of jewelry-$175;
various CD's & LP's $415; Books $145; Photo books $155.
There
were
approximately
35 items in the auction and items went from $10 to $1,000.
You'll notice that the sum (total collected) is greater than the parts
(auction/raffle) because I had people
rounding
up their donation amount or just handing me cash or checks. Darin fans are
simply the BEST! A huge thank you to everyone who participated in action or
spirit.
